Gazoobie Scored 80,039 Retail Offers and Published 2,667 of Them

The AI deal curation site has released the counts behind its own filter: about three in every 100 scored offers clear the bar. Each survivor is labeled with which of 12 shopper types it actually suits.

Youngstown, Ohio – September 17, 2026 – Gazoobie, an AI deal curation site, has published the counts behind its own filtering. Of 660,368 retail offers pulled from partner feeds, 80,039 were scored by its AI deal-quality engine, and 2,667 cleared the bar. The figures are dated August 31, 2026, and come from the company’s own database.

That is roughly three in every 100 scored offers. The rest stay in the system and never reach the site’s curated Real Deals board.

The number is the point. Most deal and coupon sites are built to list everything, and they earn a commission whether an offer is a genuine markdown or a permanent “sale” that never moves. Gazoobie treats that volume as the problem rather than the product.

“The interesting number is not the 2,667. It is the 77,000 that did not make it,” said Mike Tarantino, founder of Gazoobie. “Every one of those is something a deal site could have listed and taken a commission on. Publishing what gets thrown away is the only way to show the filter is real.”

Rather than ranking by discount percentage alone, the engine weighs how a price compares to an item’s usual selling price, the retailer’s promotional pattern, and other signals. A human editor then writes the published verdict. The company states it does not accept payment to move a store up, soften a verdict, or bury a warning. Its full method is published at https://gazoobie.com/how-we-verify.

Every offer that survives is also labeled with who it suits. Gazoobie sorts shoppers into 12 types, among them Deal Hunter, Pet Parent, Gamer and Small Business Owner, on the argument that a discount is only good relative to the person buying. A gaming laptop at 20 percent off is a strong buy for one shopper and a waste for another.

Gazoobie began recording its own daily price history on August 7, 2026, covering every tracked deal that states a price. The company notes that the record is currently weeks old rather than years, and says it will not make lowest-price claims the data cannot yet support.
