Keith Dagostino Announces New Scholarship Recognizing Undergraduate Cancer Survivors and Future Community Leaders
OYSTER BAY, N.Y. – July 15, 2026 – Keith Dagostino announces the launch of the Keith Dagostino Scholarship for Cancer Survivors, a new academic initiative designed to recognize undergraduate students whose experiences as cancer survivors have shaped their commitment to leadership, perseverance, and meaningful contributions to their communities. The scholarship invites eligible students from accredited colleges and universities to apply through an essay-based selection process that highlights personal resilience and future aspirations.
The Keith Dagostino Scholarship for Cancer Survivors reflects Keith Dagostino’s commitment to supporting students who have overcome significant personal challenges while continuing to pursue higher education. The scholarship is open to currently enrolled undergraduate students who are cancer survivors, regardless of cancer type or stage of survivorship. Applications are now being accepted for the current scholarship cycle. Eligible applicants are required to submit an original essay of 500–600 words responding to the following prompt:
“How has your journey as a cancer survivor shaped your understanding of resilience, and how do you plan to apply that strength to your future professional or community leadership roles?”
The selection committee evaluates submissions based on clarity, authenticity, overall impact, and the applicant’s demonstrated understanding of leadership through resilience. The scholarship recipient receives a one-time award of $1,000 to support undergraduate educational expenses.
The application deadline is January 15, 2027, and the scholarship recipient is scheduled to be announced on February 15, 2027.
Applicants must include their full name, current college or university, and expected graduation date within the body of their submission email. Essays must be submitted as either a Microsoft Word document or PDF attachment and emailed to [email protected] before the stated deadline.

Raised in a first-generation Italian family in New York, Keith Dagostino graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in three years before building a nearly three-decade career in the financial services industry, where he currently serves as a Senior Managing Director.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Keith Dagostino remains committed to community involvement through years of volunteer leadership. His service as a youth baseball coach for more than a decade and as a trustee for the East Woods School reflects his belief that leadership extends beyond professional success and into lasting service to others. Through the Keith Dagostino Scholarship for Cancer Survivors, Keith Dagostino continues that commitment by recognizing students whose perseverance positions them to make meaningful contributions throughout their academic, professional, and community lives.
