Signature Designs Kitchen Bath & Interiors Earns KBB Magazine Feature as Boulder Prepares for Sundance 2027
Lone Tree, CO – June 22, 2026 – Signature Designs Kitchen Bath & Interiors, a Colorado interior design firm with more than 25 years of experience, has been featured in Kitchen & Bath Business (KBB) Magazine for its transformation of a 3,200-square-foot Boulder condominium into a sophisticated mountain retreat.

“Being featured in KBB Magazine is a meaningful recognition of the care, coordination and creativity that went into this project,” said Bonnie Bagley Catlin, owner and principal designer of Signature Designs Kitchen Bath & Interiors. “It reflects the strength of our team and our commitment to delivering thoughtful design even under complex project conditions.”
The KBB Magazine feature is especially timely as Boulder prepares to host the Sundance Film Festival for the first time from January 21-31, 2027. With filmmakers, industry professionals, and visitors expected from around the world, the featured project demonstrates how local properties can be designed to support both private use and guest accommodation.
Design Solutions for a Complex Boulder Property
Led by owner and principal designer Bonnie Bagley Catlin, Signature Designs transformed the condominium into a luxurious family vacation home and mountainside retreat. The completed space combines high-end finishes, practical storage, and a cohesive mountain-inspired design intended to feel personal and comfortable. To meet the clients’ request for luxury, storage and visual continuity, the firm incorporated ceiling-height dining cabinetry, customized millwork and a walk-in pantry designed to maximize space.
The project required careful coordination due to strict HOA requirements and limited building access. All cabinetry, materials, and equipment had to be transported through a single passenger elevator, including 11 pallets of cabinetry delivered within a narrow time frame.
Valued at more than $1 million, the completed renovation demonstrates Signature Designs’ ability to balance creative ambition with the practical demands of a complex multi-unit property.
Preparing Boulder Properties for a New Chapter
As Boulder prepares for the Sundance Film Festival’s 2027 debut, property owners may be considering how their homes can better support family visits, short-term guests, and changing lifestyle needs.
Signature Designs works with condominiums, townhouses, short-term rentals, second homes, and primary residences throughout Boulder and surrounding Colorado communities. Its design process considers each property’s architecture and practical requirements, from storage and circulation to material durability and building restrictions.
“Boulder’s Sundance debut will place the city on an even larger cultural stage,” said Catlin. “It is an exciting opportunity for homeowners to create spaces that feel distinctive, welcoming and representative of the lifestyle that makes this community so appealing.”
For homeowners planning renovations ahead of Sundance, beginning early can provide additional time for design development, HOA approvals, custom cabinetry, and construction scheduling. This preparation can also help minimize avoidable delays during construction.
