Upcoming Kickstarter campaign to launch First cup holder that locks actually locks the cup in place
Tulsa, Oklahoma – January 26, 2022 – Forget the mess of spilled drinks that are common with regular cup holders. Cameron, a Tulsa-based adventure enthusiast and mechanical engineer is soon to introduce the world’s FIRST cup holder on Kickstarter that is uniquely designed to lock the cup in place to prevent spillage of drinks. Aptly titled “Secure A Cup”, the product follows a universal design and is compatible with almost all kinds of cups, can koozies and tumblers.
The project is set to launch on Kickstarter, on Friday, January 28, 2022.
In an exclusive interview, Cameron shared that his next-gen “Secure A Cup” is more than a mere cup holder. Rather, it’s a uniquely designed tool to make outdoor adventures more fun by ensuring nobody spills their drink.
“It’s wonderful to have your favorite beverage handy when you are going on an outdoor adventure, say boating, camping, kayaking, and so on. Unfortunately, we all have those embarrassing memories of messy drink spills while we were in motion. How about a solution that allows you to enjoy your boating or other adventures without the risk of spilling your drink? Well, the next-gen Secure A Cup is intelligently designed with an innovative locking mechanism to ensure that while you are in motion, your drink is not”, stated Cameron.

While asked about the inspiration behind Secure A Cup, Cameron mentioned his own experience of his cup spilling while boating.
“I was floating down the river and noticed that I did not have anywhere to put my drink that wasn’t going to cause it to tip over. I know other adventurers too face the same issues and regular cup holders can’t solve the problem. Being a mechanical engineer, we usually solve problems with one of three things: duct tape, a hammer, or WD-40. Instead of duct taping my cup to the raft, I decided to look for a solution that will not only hold the cup but also lock it in place to prevent spilling. As I could not find anything suitable in the existing market, I decided to design it on my own, thus Secure A Cup was born.”
The innovative cup holder is scheduled to be delivered in the summer of 2022, just in time for outdoor summertime adventures.
