Elektra Wearables is launching the first IoT T-Shirt featuring an Air Quality Sensor
The Advantages of wearing IoT.

Just imagine being able to wear and carry with you a high-tech sensor that reports in real time the air quality you’re breathing. Is it science fiction? No. Now it’s reality thanks to Elektra Wearables, the all-Italian startup preparing to enter on the market with the first Iot T-Shirt featuring an air quality sensor.

Elektra Wearables is at the forefront of intelligent wearable systems development and its goal is helping men and women improving their life quality. In Elektra’s new T-Shirt you’ll find a unique combination of IoT technology, sensors and data analytics that will free you from bulky addons.

The first application for this IoT T-Shirt is undoubtedly sport, in particular outdoor running. When practicing physical activity in a town or city, we try to exercise in parks, public spaces and paths where we believe pollution is low as good air quality contributes to our health and well-being.

But how is the air quality actually in these places? How healthy is our training? Could poor quality air affect our sports performance?

All these questions can be answered thanks to Elektra Wearables, a T-Shirt and an App. The sensor in the T-Shirt collects air data while we train and tells us if the place where we are is right for our exercise or if it is better to find another. The IoT-Tshirt communicates via BLE with your mobile phone and shows the data in real time; if you prefer not carrying the phone along during exercise, it is possible to download the entire data log later in one go via NFC.

And all this can be achieved just wearing a T-Shirt. It’s all you need to be informed about you, your body, your environment and improve the quality of your life.

Elektra Wearables is planning a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in the first quarter of 2022, with the aim of raising funds and bringing the product to market by the end of the year. Find more at https://www.wearelektra.com/
